Spell the month in books – March [tag]

Sorry this post is coming so late in the day, guys, I actually forgot to post today. I’ve been so busy with university and trying to create posts in my free time is a little taxing. But there’s no way I’d leave you guys without a post!

Anywho, I saw this idea ages ago on Books are the new black and it was originally created by Reviews from the stacks. I thought I’d give it a try.

Spelling the month in books includes using the first letter of book titles to spell out the current month.

I’m just going to do this with books that I have a physical copy of and I’ll leave links if you want to buy them (non affiliated).

Let’s get started!

M – Magyk by Angie Sage

Magyk is a wonder book filled with magic. It follows the life of a boy called Septimus Heap, although he’s not originally called that.

That frog isn’t part of the cover by the way. That’s my lovely prop frog, Frank.

Moving on.

A- A darker shade of magic by VE Schwab

I actually haven’t read this one yet but it’s set in a magic realm where there are different Londons;

R- Rebel by RJ Anderson

This is actually a sequel to a book called Knife from the same author. I LOVED these books as a young teen. It’s about faeries and it’s honestly so magical.

C- City of bones by Cassandra Clare

Everyone’s heard of the Mortal Instruments, I’m sure. I’ve only read City of bones and currently reading City of Ashes. I’m unsure whether to continue with this series or not but so far: love Simon, dislike Clary (she’s a little hot headed and contradictory in her feelings/actions. Jace is alright but he has his own flaws).

H- Harry Potter and the order of the Phoenix

This is my favourite in the whole series. I love the secrecy of the order of the Phoenix, hate Umbridge and love the weasley twins.

I actually owned the old hardback version but a classmate of mine from back when I was a child ripped it.

Thank goodness I was gifted this paperback one for my birthday.

So that’s it for today’s post! I also tag everyone or anyone who wants to do this!

What’s your favourite book on this list?

Give this post a like if you enjoyed it!

Help me decide my next read!

Also, I need your help to decide one last book for my book haul (coming soon). The options are; The Priory Of The Orange Tree by Samantha Shannon or Warcross by Marie Lu. Leave your vote in the comments!

Until next time,

  1. YAY! I’m glad you did this.. it’s such a fun tag. It’s a something nice to throw up each month that highlights some of our books. Hmm.. I’ve read Warcross and loved it.. so that gets my vote! I have not read Priory yet but if you want a chunky read that’s perfect!

    1. I agree, this is a great way to show books that I own but might not review.

Thanks for voting! 😂 they both sounded like great books and I honestly have a hard time deciding when it comes to book hauls
